We are seeking a strategic yet hands-on Retail Marketing Manager to lead Disney Consumer Products' marketing efforts in India. This role will drive franchise growth, elevate brand equity, and support retail and e-commerce expansion through insight-driven marketing strategies and strong execution.
The ideal candidate brings a balance of strategic thinking and operational excellence, with proven experience delivering large-scale brand activations and managing a diverse stakeholder ecosystem. Working closely with internal teams, licensees, retailers, and mall partners, this role will translate Disney’s storytelling into compelling retail experiences that drive measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Campaign Leadership & Execution

Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns aligned with Disney’s brand priorities and India market dynamics.

Lead end-to-end campaign delivery, from planning and strategy through to on-ground execution across retail and digital channels.

Drive large-scale experiential activations (e.g., mall events, pop-ups, retail takeovers) that deliver strong consumer engagement and commercial impact.

Balance strategic oversight with hands-on involvement in execution, ensuring high standards across touchpoints.

Track campaign performance and ROI, using insights to continuously optimize effectiveness.
Franchise and Licensee Management

Act as the brand guardian, ensuring consistent and high-quality use of Disney IP across all marketing efforts.

Develop franchise-led programs that are locally relevant and commercially effective.

Work closely with Creative and Category teams to develop impactful retail marketing toolkits and activation concepts.

Partner with cross-functional teams (Studio, Parks, etc.) to align on franchise priorities and maximize synergy.
B2B Partnerships & Commercial Leadership

Build and maintain strong relationships with mall operators, retailers, and key commercial partners.

Lead B2B negotiations to secure high-visibility placements and mutually beneficial marketing opportunities.

Identify and unlock new partnership opportunities within retail and experiential environments.

Collaborate with partners and licensees to co-create programs that drive shared business growth.
Activation, Agency & Project Management

Manage agencies and vendors to deliver high-quality, large-scale activations aligned with brand standards.

Demonstrate strong project management discipline, overseeing timelines, budgets, and stakeholders across campaigns.

Ensure seamless execution and attention to detail across planning and delivery.

Continuously evaluate and enhance agency performance to improve execution quality.
Budget & Team Management

Develop and manage efficient marketing budgets to maximize ROI across channels.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.

8-12 years of experience in marketing, retail marketing, licensing or agency marketing.

Proven experience delivering large-scale brand activations.

Strong mix of strategic thinking and hands-on execution capability.

Demonstrated B2B negotiation skills with retailers and mall partners.

Strong project management across complex campaigns.

Existing relationships with mall operators and retailers is an advantage.

Experience in digital marketing and integrated campaigns.

Exposure to Tier 1 retail environments preferred.

Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
