Position: Field Service Engineer

Location - Bangalore
Products Handled:
Multimode Readers, Flow Cytometers, Cell Imaging Systems, Surface Plasmon Resonance Instruments, CO₂ Incubators, Gel Documentation Systems, and other life science instruments.
Key Responsibilities:
· Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair scientific instruments at customer sites.
· Handle customer service requests including AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts), CMC (Comprehensive Maintenance Contracts), breakdown services, and technical support.
· Perform instrument calibration, preventive maintenance, and performance validation.
· Provide technical demonstrations and assist the sales team with customer-specific technical requirements.
· Improve and upgrade service tools, jigs, and operational procedures when required.
· Recommend improvements in equipment operation and maintenance processes.
· Train customers on instrument usage, maintenance, and best practices.
· Collect and analyze customer feedback to enhance product reliability and service quality.
· Maintain service documentation, update product manuals, and submit regular service reports.
· Participate in training programs and stay updated with the latest technological developments.
· Coordinate with internal technical teams and contribute insights for product improvement.
Requirements:
· Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or Diploma in Engineering (Electronics, Biomedical, Instrumentation, or related field).
· Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience servicing analytical or life science equipment.
· Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests.
· Good communication and customer handling skills.
· Willingness to travel up to 75% within the assigned region.
