Job Title : Technical Safety Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide technical safety engineering support for capital projects and operating assets.
- Conduct and support qualitative & quantitative risk assessments, including HAZOP, LOPA, MOC, and QRA studies.
- Develop risk reduction plans and recommend safeguards to maintain safe operations.
- Perform consequence modelling and validate safety analysis using industry-standard tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate safety into project design and operations.
- Support management of change (MOC) and pre-startup safety review (PSSR) activities.
- Review safety processes, standards, and compliance requirements to ensure operational excellence.
- Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance on process safety practices.
Requisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Strong understanding of Process Safety Management concepts such as HAZOP, LOPA, MOC, and QRA.
- Experience with technical safety and consequence modelling tools like PHAST, SAFETI, HYSYS, Pro/II, or FlareSim.
- Knowledge of process engineering fundamentals including heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and overpressure protection.
- Familiarity with international safety standards and industrial safety practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
