Job Description for the post of Engineer – Electrical/Power electronics.
He will be responsible for the design, development, and localization of Single-Phase UPS, PDUs, Busway’s, APT systems, and related accessories along with Technical Support, Certification Activity. The role involves engineering design, testing, validation, and continuous improvement of power electronic systems across these product lines.
The candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including global engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and service, to ensure reliable, efficient, and cost-effective product development.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of power electronic converters and semiconductor switches.
- Good Knowledge of Electrical systems design like panels.
- Good knowledge of Electrical Panel wiring and associated software.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, MATLAB Simulation software.
- Ability to work with speed and accuracy to deliver manufacturing drawings and other documents.
- Support prototype development, product certification, and validation activities.
- Lead localization initiatives for electrical components and subsystems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during development and production stages.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- 4 - 5 years of relevant work experience.
DESIRABLE
- Knowledge of failure analysis for filed related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during development and production stages.
- Hands on Experience in designing the panel as per IEC standards.
- Exposure to electrical switchgear like MCB, MCCB, Fuse etc. and their selection criteria
- Knowledge of busbar design considerations.
- Ability to work independently with least supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design of electrical systems including component selection, wiring, layout, and testing.
- Conduct design review with cross functional teams.
- Visit manufacturing plant for prototype development and support all design related activities from product request till prototype development.
- Responsible for timely and accurate delivery of drawings and other documents.
