QA Automation Engineer

Role Description & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and/or mobile applications
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team members in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Participate actively in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Analyze functional and technical requirements to identify automation opportunities
- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results to identify defects
- Log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools
- Maintain and improve existing automation frameworks
- Ensure test coverage, test data management, and test environment readiness
- Follow best practices in coding, testing, and documentation
Technical Skill:
- 1–2 years of experience in test automation or software quality engineering
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Python, JavaScript (Java preferred)
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as: Selenium, Playwright
- Experience with unit and test frameworks like TestNG, JUnit
- Knowledge of API testing and REST principles can be an added advantage
- Experience using Git or other version control systems

- Test Management: JIRA, HP-ALM
- API Testing: Postman, REST Assured
- CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI
- Build Tools: Maven, Gradle
- Databases: Basic SQL for test data validation
- Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, macOS
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or related discipline.
