Key Responsibilities
- Source fabrics from external mills and approved suppliers based on product requirements.
- Identify and develop new fabric vendors to enhance the supplier base and improve cost competitiveness.
- Obtain fabric quotations, negotiate prices, MOQ, lead times, and payment terms.
- Coordinate with merchandising, product development, quality, and production teams on fabric requirements.
- Follow up with mills for sample developments, bulk orders, approvals, and deliveries.
- Monitor fabric order status and ensure on-time delivery to meet production schedules.
- Maintain strong relationships with mills and suppliers for smooth operational execution.
- Analyze fabric costs and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure fabric quality, testing, and compliance requirements are met before bulk production.
- Track market trends, new fabric innovations, and sourcing opportunities.
- Resolve fabric-related issues including delays, quality concerns, and supply shortages.
- Maintain sourcing data, supplier performance records, and fabric procurement reports.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Technology, Apparel Management, or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in fabric sourcing within the apparel/textile industry.
- Mandatory experience in sourcing fabrics from external textile mills.
- Strong knowledge of knits fabrics.
- Good understanding of fabric manufacturing processes, costing, and quality parameters.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Proficient in MS Excel and sourcing documentation
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
