About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with strong expertise in intercompany accounting and multi-entity financial management. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building accounting systems, reconciling complex intercompany transactions, and delivering accurate financial reports that provide clear visibility into the performance of each business entity.
You will work closely with leadership to establish efficient accounting processes across multiple companies while ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost allocation, and compliance.
Key ResponsibilitiesIntercompany Accounting & Reconciliation
- Establish and maintain an effective intercompany accounting framework across multiple entities.
- Record, monitor, and reconcile all cross-company transactions, including shared expenses, service charges, loans, and recharges.
- Ensure accurate intercompany balances and timely reconciliations.
Cost Allocation
- Develop and implement clear cost allocation methodologies for shared overheads, payroll, and project-related expenses.
- Ensure expenses are allocated to the appropriate legal entity while eliminating duplication and omissions.
Bookkeeping & Financial Management
- Oversee daily bookkeeping activities for multiple entities.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure consistency in the chart of accounts across companies.
- Review journals, ledgers, and financial records for completeness and accuracy.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly and quarterly standalone Profit & Loss statements for each entity.
- Produce consolidated financial reports by eliminating intercompany transactions.
- Analyze profitability, identify cost drivers, and provide actionable financial insights to management.
Process Improvement & Internal Controls
- Design month-end closing procedures and reconciliation checklists.
- Establish internal recharge policies and support transfer pricing documentation where required.
- Strengthen accounting controls and improve financial processes.
Accounting Systems
- Utilize accounting software such as Zoho Books, Xero, QuickBooks, or ERP systems to automate accounting workflows.
- Coordinate with external auditors, accountants, and consultants for statutory compliance and reporting.
RequirementsExperience
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
- At least 2 years managing multi-company or group accounting.
- Proven experience setting up or improving intercompany accounting processes.
- Experience in service-based or project-based organizations is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- Intercompany accounting
- Cost allocation

- General ledger management
- Month-end closing
- Multi-currency accounting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, financial analysis).
- Experience with Zoho Books, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA, or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory for candidates with exceptional practical experience.
