Senior Manager – Community Engagement & Stakeholder Relations
ResPublica Consulting Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Senior Manager – Community Engagement & Stakeholder Relations to lead stakeholder outreach, institutional coordination, and community interface across projects in waste management, urban development, sanitation, and related sectors. You will serve as the primary interface between project teams and external stakeholders — government agencies, local bodies, elected representatives, civil society, and communities.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), Environmental Sciences, Rural/Development Studies, Sociology, Public Policy, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
- Additional certifications in stakeholder engagement, communication, social impact, or project management are an advantage
Experience
- 8–12 years in stakeholder engagement, community development, local governance, environmental management, or infrastructure/development sector programmes
- Demonstrated experience engaging with Municipal Corporations, Municipalities, Grama Panchayats, District Administrations, and State Government departments
- Track record of managing outreach programmes, public consultations, awareness campaigns, and stakeholder engagement at scale
- Prior experience in solid waste management, sanitation, urban infrastructure, renewable energy, or public sector reforms is strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder & Government Relations
- Develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies across project locations
- Build and sustain relationships with government agencies, local bodies, elected representatives, industry associations, NGOs, and community groups
- Coordinate with local and district administration for project implementation and institutional buy-in
- Monitor policy developments and local governance issues relevant to ongoing projects
Community Outreach & Communication
- Design and implement public awareness, advocacy, and behaviour change communication programmes
- Conduct community consultations, public meetings, workshops, and training sessions
- Translate technical and policy content into accessible communication for diverse audiences
- Prepare briefing notes, stakeholder reports, presentations, and outreach materials
Risk & Project Support
- Identify community risks and stakeholder concerns; develop mitigation and engagement plans
- Provide stakeholder intelligence and recommendations to project leadership
- Represent the organisation at public forums, local body meetings, and government consultations
What We're Looking For
- Deep understanding of Kerala's social, political, and governance landscape — ULBs, Panchayats, District Administration, State departments
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and public speaking skills in Malayalam and English
- Strong networking, negotiation, and conflict resolution ability across government, community, and grassroots levels
- Ability to work independently in field-intensive, multi-priority environments
Other Requirements
- Must be willing to be based in Palakkad; extensive travel within Kerala required
- Personal vehicle (car or two-wheeler), valid driving licence, and ability to drive independently are mandatory
