Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Dispatch Supervisor to manage and streamline dispatch operations in a glass processing facility. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating finished goods movement, ensuring safe handling of processed glass, maintaining dispatch documentation, and aligning logistics with production schedules. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with production, sales, and transport teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Dispatch Operations Management
- Supervise daily dispatch activities for processed glass products such as tempered glass, laminated glass, and insulated glass units.
- Plan and schedule dispatches based on production completion and delivery commitments.
- Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and safe loading of glass materials to prevent damage during transit.
2. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with the production department to track order completion status.
- Work closely with sales and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries to customers.
- Communicate dispatch schedules with transport vendors and drivers.
3. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain dispatch records including delivery challans, invoices, E-way bills, and transport documentation.
- Ensure all dispatch documentation is accurate and aligned with company policies.
- Monitor dispatch reports and maintain daily dispatch logs.
4. Inventory & Yard Management
- Monitor finished goods inventory in the dispatch area.
- Ensure proper stacking, handling, and identification of glass materials.
- Maintain FIFO system and prevent material mix-ups.
5. Quality & Safety Control
- Ensure glass products are inspected before dispatch.
- Follow proper safety procedures while loading and handling fragile glass materials.
- Minimize transit damages through proper packaging and loading practices.
6. Team Supervision
- Supervise dispatch helpers and loading staff.
- Allocate daily tasks and monitor productivity.
- Ensure discipline, safety compliance, and operational efficiency.
7. Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly dispatch reports.
- Report dispatch delays, damages, and operational issues to management.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of dispatch documentation and logistics processes.
- Ability to manage dispatch teams and loading operations.
- Basic computer knowledge (Excel, ERP or dispatch software).
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.

Qualification
- Diploma / Any Degree preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years experience in dispatch or logistics, preferably in glass processing or manufacturing industry.
