A PGT Music is responsible for teaching music to senior secondary students (Classes XI–XII), developing students’ musical knowledge and performance skills, and preparing them for examinations and practical assessments.
Key responsibilities:
- Teach music theory, practical music, and relevant syllabus topics to Classes XI–XII.
- Provide training in vocal and/or instrumental music, according to the school curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and practical exercises.
- Conduct music practical examinations and internal assessments.
- Prepare students for board examinations, competitions, cultural programmes, and school events.
- Organize and supervise music performances, assemblies, concerts, and other cultural activities.
- Identify and encourage students with musical talent.
- Maintain attendance, assessment records, and other academic documentation.
- Coordinate with other teachers and school management for academic and cultural activities.
- Maintain discipline and create a positive, creative learning environment.
- Stay updated with developments in music education and teaching methods.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹42,000.00 per month
