Salary: ₹10,000 to ₹13,000 fixed base (depending on experience) + [10 %] commission on services & product retail sales.
Job Overview
We are looking for a passionate, skilled, and trend-aware Barber / Male Hair Specialist to join our growing unisex salon team. The ideal candidate must excel in classic and modern men's barbering, advanced beard grooming, and basic hair treatments. Excellent communication skills in Hindi, Marathi, or English and a polite customer-first attitude are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
Precision Haircutting: Perform a wide range of modern and classic men's haircuts, including skin fades, tapers, pompadours, crop cuts, and scissor-only styles.
Advanced Beard Grooming: Provide expert beard shaping, line-ups, trimming, and traditional hot towel straight-razor shaves.
Chemical Treatments: Perform basic male hair treatments including hair coloring, highlights, keratin, smoothing, and hair spa therapies.
Client Consultation: Consult with clients to understand their needs, recommend styles that suit their face shape/lifestyle, and advise on proper hair and beard care routines.
Retail & Upselling: Recommend and sell premium hair and beard care products available at the salon to meet monthly targets.
Hygiene Maintenance: Maintain strict cleanliness and sterilization of all clippers, shears, razors, and workstation tools after every client.
Requirements & Qualifications
Proven experience working as a barber or men’s stylist in a busy unisex salon environment.
Certification or diploma from a recognized beauty/hair academy (e.g., Jawed Habib, Lakmé, L'Oréal, or similar) is a major plus but not mandatory if technical skills are excellent.
Strong knowledge of current men's grooming trends, hair types, and scalp conditions.
Professional demeanor, punctual, and capable of working smoothly alongside female stylists and diverse clientele.
