Collect blood samples through venipuncture, finger-prick, or heel-prick procedures. Verify patient identity and ensure correct labeling of specimens. Follow infection-control, safety, and biohazard disposal protocols. Prepare patients for blood collection and explain procedures. Maintain accurate records and documentation of collected samples. Transport specimens to the laboratory according to established procedures. Monitor patients for adverse reactions during or after blood collection. Maintain and sterilize phlebotomy equipment and work areas. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards.
