- Administer configure and maintain Linux servers with strong focus on Red Hat across development test and production environments
- Ensure high availability performance and security of Linux based systems through proactive monitoring patching and capacity planning
- Implement and manage user access file systems storage and networking configurations in line with organizational standards
- Troubleshoot complex OS level performance and infrastructure issues driving root cause analysis and permanent fixes
- Plan and execute OS upgrades kernel updates and security hardening activities with minimal downtime
- Create and maintain detailed system documentation runbooks and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with application database and network teams to support deployments and environment changes
- Apply ITIL aligned practices for incident problem and change management ensuring compliance with governance processes
- Participate in on call rotations and provide escalation support for critical production incidents
- Mentor junior administrators sharing best practices in Linux administration and operational excellence
- Minimum Qualifications
- B
- TECH degree in Computer Science Information Technology Electronics or a related engineering discipline
- 8 15 years of hands on experience as a Linux administrator managing medium to large scale environments
- Strong expertise in Linux administration with at least 8 years working on enterprise grade distributions specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Proven experience in system installation configuration patching and performance tuning for Linux servers
- Solid understanding of system security access control and OS level hardening in Linux environments
- Practical experience working within ITIL based processes for incident problem and change management
