Job Summary
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Junior Designer to join our apparel design team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for fashion, good knowledge of garment construction, color combinations, and current market trends. The candidate will assist senior designers in developing innovative designs, preparing tech packs, and coordinating with the merchandising and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing seasonal apparel collections.
- Create design sketches using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CorelDRAW.
- Develop mood boards, color palettes, and fabric concepts.
- Prepare technical drawings and design specifications.
- Coordinate with merchandising and production teams during sample development.
- Research fashion trends, fabrics, trims, and competitors.
- Review garment samples and suggest improvements.
- Maintain design files, artwork, and product documentation.
- Ensure designs meet quality standards and brand guidelines.
- Support the design team with daily tasks and new product development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in garment or apparel design (Freshers with strong portfolios are welcome).
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or similar design software.
- Good understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and printing techniques.
- Creative thinking with strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of fashion trends and color forecasting.
- Basic understanding of pattern making and garment fit.
- Ability to create technical sketches and tech packs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
