What is in it for you?
As a Lead Engineer - ETL Testing, you will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses, and Cloud platforms. The role focuses on data validation, transformation testing, and quality assurance of data products.
Responsibilities: -
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test data for data pipelines.
- Validate ETL/ELT processes, including data mapping, transformations, and SCD models.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and integrity checks using SQL.
- Execute functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Manage defect lifecycle (logging, triage, resolution, and verification).
- Create and execute strategies and test cases for applications that use ETL components.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide regular status updates.

Educational Qualifications: -
- Engineering Degree – BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.
- Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.
Skills: -
Mandatory Technical Skills: -
- Experience analyzing ETL mapping documents
- Hands-on experience in ETL/Data Warehouse testing and data validation
- Strong understanding of ELT pipeline testing, data comparison, and validation
- SQL expertise (complex queries, joins, aggregations)
- Hands-on experience in Cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure/AWS/GCP
- Python scripting for test automation or data validation
- Experience in data pipeline tools (ADF, Informatica)
- Knowledge of BI/report testing (Power BI, Tableau)
- Understanding of data models, SCD concepts, and data transformations
- Experience in test case design, execution, and defect management
- Knowledge of API and integration testing
- Familiarity with tools like Jira/Azure DevOps
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Understanding of Agile methodologies
Good to Have Skills: -
- Exposure to healthcare domain, data governance, or compliance
- Experience in automation frameworks or CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in leading test efforts or mentoring team members
