About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Director to lead the finance function and play a key role in shaping the financial strategy and growth of the organization.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in manufacturing organisations, with deep expertise in cash flow management, cost accounting, profitability improvement, financial strategy, taxation, fund management, and financial controls.
This is a strategic leadership role requiring someone who can go beyond traditional accounting and actively contribute to improving business performance, optimising costs, strengthening cash flows, and supporting management in key strategic decisions.
The candidate should also understand how to leverage AI, automation, analytics, and modern technology to improve efficiency, reduce manual work, strengthen financial controls, and generate faster and better business insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy and long-term financial plans.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and MIS.
- Take strong ownership of cash flow, working capital, banking facilities, and treasury management.
- Drive improvements in receivables, inventory management, cash conversion cycles, and overall liquidity.
- Lead cost accounting and manufacturing cost analysis, including product-wise and process-wise profitability.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, margin improvement, and profitability maximisation.
- Develop systems to monitor profitability across products, business units, customers, and operations.
- Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, investors, auditors, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead fundraising, debt structuring, capital management, and financial negotiations.
- Oversee taxation, statutory compliance, audits, and regulatory matters.
- Strengthen internal controls, financial systems, SOPs, and governance.
- Provide financial evaluation and strategic support for new projects, investments, acquisitions, and business opportunities.
- Support valuation, restructuring, turnaround, and stressed asset management where required.
- Work closely with legal advisors on important corporate, commercial, and property-related matters.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance and accounts team.
- Drive implementation and improvement of ERP, financial systems, dashboards, and reporting processes.
- Actively leverage AI, automation, and data analytics to improve forecasting, reporting, cost analysis, cash flow management, and overall finance team productivity.
Preferred Experience: 8–15+ years
Strong preference will be given to candidates with substantial experience in manufacturing companies and senior finance leadership roles.
Qualifications
- CA preferred
- CA Final / CA Inter candidates with strong relevant experience may also be considered.
- Additional qualifications such as CS, law, MBA finance, or CFA will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹2,400,000.00 - ₹3,600,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Vadodara, Gujarat (Vadodara): Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
