About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Electrical & Maintenance Engineer / Executive to take complete responsibility for the electrical systems, machinery maintenance, preventive maintenance, and day-to-day technical upkeep of our manufacturing facility producing outdoor furniture covers and sewn outdoor protection products.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in a garment, textile, upholstery, or sewing manufacturing factory and should be comfortable troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical issues on production machinery.
This is a shop-floor-oriented role requiring practical problem-solving, quick response to machine breakdowns, preventive maintenance planning, and ensuring minimum production downtime.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sewing Machine Maintenance
- Perform regular servicing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of industrial sewing machines.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, motor, pedal, control panel, and other machine-related issues.
- Maintain machines such as:
- Single-needle sewing machines
- Double-needle machines
- Overlock machines
- Flatlock machines
- Heavy-duty sewing machines
- Bartack / specialized sewing machines
- Coordinate with machine suppliers/service technicians for major repairs and technical issues.
- Maintain records of machine breakdowns, repairs, spare parts, and service history.
- Ensure critical spare parts are available to minimize machine downtime.
2. Seam Sealing Machinery Maintenance
- Maintain and troubleshoot hot-air seam sealing / seam sealing machines.
- Handle electrical, heating, temperature-control, motor, sensor, pneumatic, and mechanical issues.
- Monitor heating elements, temperature controllers, motors, belts, rollers, sensors, and control systems.
- Carry out preventive maintenance as per machine operating requirements.
- Coordinate with overseas/imported machinery suppliers when specialized technical support is required.
3. Digital Cutting / CNC Machine Maintenance
- Maintain and troubleshoot the factory's imported digital cutting/CNC cutting machine.
- Handle basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of the machine.
- Understand 3-phase power requirements, control panels, motors, sensors, drives, and safety systems.
- Monitor machine power supply, earthing, stabilizer/voltage issues, and electrical safety.
- Coordinate with the machine supplier's technical team for major breakdowns or software/electronic issues.
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and service records.
4. Electrical Systems & Power Distribution
- Handle day-to-day electrical maintenance of the factory.
- Strong practical knowledge of:
- Single-phase electrical systems
- Three-phase electrical systems
- Power distribution
- MCB/MCCB
- Contactors and relays
- Distribution boards
- Control panels
- Motors
- Starters
- Earthing
- Voltage/current measurement
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and power interruptions quickly.
- Ensure proper electrical load distribution across production areas.
- Monitor electrical panels, connections, cables, switches, sockets, and distribution systems.
- Identify overloads, loose connections, overheating, voltage fluctuations, and other electrical risks.
- Ensure proper earthing of machinery and electrical equipment.
5. Air Compressor Maintenance
- Maintain and monitor factory air compressors and associated pneumatic systems.
- Check compressor pressure, leakage, filters, hoses, valves, and fittings.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and coordinate external servicing where required.
- Ensure adequate compressed-air availability for production machinery.
6. Factory Electrical & General Maintenance
Responsible for maintenance of:
- Factory lighting systems
- LED lights and fixtures
- Fans and exhaust systems
- Switches and sockets
- Electrical wiring
- Distribution boards
- Production-area electrical points
- Office electrical systems
- Basic plumbing/general maintenance coordination where required
- Electrical safety systems
7. Preventive Maintenance
- Develop and maintain a Preventive Maintenance Schedule for all factory machinery and equipment.
- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance checks.
- Identify potential machine failures before they affect production.
- Maintain a machine-wise maintenance checklist.
- Track machine breakdown frequency and downtime.
- Recommend replacement or refurbishment of aging machinery/components.
8. Breakdown & Production Support
- Attend production machine breakdowns immediately.
- Minimize production downtime through quick diagnosis and repair.
- Maintain a Breakdown Register recording:
- Machine
- Problem
- Root cause
- Repair performed
- Spare parts used
- Downtime
- Preventive action
- Work closely with Production Supervisors and Operators to identify recurring machine problems.
9. Spare Parts & Maintenance Inventory
- Maintain inventory of critical electrical and machine spare parts.
- Identify frequently required spare parts and maintain minimum stock levels.
- Raise purchase requirements for maintenance spares.
- Maintain records of spare parts consumption and replacement.
- Coordinate with vendors for electrical components, motors, machine parts, sensors, heating elements, etc.
10. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all electrical installations and machinery are maintained safely.
- Regularly inspect electrical panels, cables, plugs, sockets, earthing, and machinery connections.
- Ensure proper electrical safety practices are followed on the factory floor.
- Immediately report unsafe electrical conditions.
- Ensure maintenance work is carried out using appropriate tools and safety procedures.
- Support factory management during electrical safety inspections and audits.

Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant hands-on experience.
- Previous experience in a garment, textile, upholstery, bag, furniture-cover, or similar sewing manufacturing factory is strongly preferred.
- Candidates who have worked directly with industrial sewing machines and garment factory maintenance will be given preference.
- Experience handling imported machinery and coordinating with overseas machine suppliers will be an advantage.
Educational Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, or equivalent technical qualification.
- Candidates with strong practical factory maintenance experience may also be considered based on technical capability.

Important: This is not a purely office-based electrical position. The candidate must be hands-on, factory-oriented, and capable of personally troubleshooting machinery and electrical problems on the production floor.
Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹550,000.00 per year
