Job Summary
Yash Enterprises is looking for a responsible and organized Transportation & Logistics Executive to manage and coordinate the company's inward and outward logistics operations. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and other materials while ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation.
The role requires regular coordination with suppliers, customers, transporters, production, purchase, stores, sales, accounts, and dispatch teams to ensure smooth material movement and timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities1. Inward Logistics
- Coordinate the transportation and receipt of raw materials, additives, packaging materials, and other incoming materials.
- Coordinate with suppliers and transporters for timely pickup and delivery of materials.
- Track incoming vehicles and ensure timely arrival at the plant.
- Verify transport documents, delivery challans, LR/GR, invoices, and other relevant documents.
- Coordinate with the Stores and Purchase teams for incoming material schedules.
- Ensure proper documentation and entry of inward materials in the ERP/system.
- Follow up on delayed or pending incoming shipments and resolve transportation-related issues.
- Coordinate with transporters in case of vehicle breakdown, delays, detention, or other operational issues.
2. Outward Logistics & Dispatch
- Plan and coordinate the dispatch of finished goods as per customer orders and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with the Sales, Production, Stores, and Dispatch teams to ensure timely availability of materials for dispatch.
- Arrange suitable vehicles based on the quantity, destination, and type of material.
- Coordinate with transporters for vehicle placement and loading schedules.
- Track dispatched vehicles and monitor delivery status until the material reaches the customer.
- Ensure timely sharing of dispatch details, LR/GR, vehicle number, transporter details, and delivery information with concerned departments and customers.
- Follow up with transporters and customers regarding delivery status and proof of delivery (POD).
- Handle urgent dispatches and ensure timely execution as per customer requirements.
3. Transportation Management
- Develop and maintain good relationships with transporters and logistics service providers.
- Obtain and compare freight rates from different transporters.
- Negotiate transportation rates wherever required and ensure cost-effective logistics operations.
- Allocate vehicles based on route, load capacity, delivery requirements, and cost.
- Monitor transporter performance and delivery timelines.
- Maintain a database of approved transporters, freight rates, routes, and vehicle details.
- Ensure proper coordination for full truckload (FTL), part-load, and other transportation requirements.
4. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain proper records of all inward and outward transportation activities.
- Verify and maintain LR/GR, delivery challans, invoices, e-way bills, PODs, freight bills, and other logistics documents.
- Coordinate with the Accounts Department for verification and processing of transporter bills.
- Maintain proper records of freight expenses and logistics costs.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies related to freight bills and transportation charges.
5. Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Stores, Sales, Dispatch, Accounts, and Management for smooth logistics operations.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics and transportation reports.
- Track pending inward materials and outward dispatches.
- Maintain records of pending deliveries and delayed shipments.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding transportation status and critical logistics issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or any relevant field.
- 1–15 years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Dispatch, or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience in a manufacturing company will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience in polymer, PVC compound, chemical, plastics, or other manufacturing industries will be an advantage.
Experience in managing both inward and outward logistics in a manufacturing environment will be highly preferred.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
