Role Overview
The Pre-Primary Teacher is responsible for delivering a structured, engaging, and safe learning experience for children. This is not just teaching—you are accountable for classroom discipline, child development outcomes, and parent trust on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
1. Classroom Management
Run the classroom independently with full control and structure
Maintain discipline, routines, and child engagement at all times
Ensure safety, hygiene, and emotional well-being of every child
2. Curriculum Delivery
Execute the curriculum as per prescribed standards—no shortcuts
Plan and prepare daily/weekly activities in advance
Adapt teaching methods based on children’s learning levels
3. Child Development Tracking
Monitor each child’s progress across learning and behavior
Identify concerns early and communicate clearly to parents
Maintain accurate records, observations, and assessments
4. Parent Communication
Actively update parents on child progress, not just during PTMs
Handle concerns confidently—don’t avoid difficult conversations
Build trust without overpromising or becoming emotionally dependent
5. Classroom Environment
Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom
Create learning aids, displays, and activity materials regularly
Take ownership of the classroom space—this is your zone
6. Collaboration & Discipline
Work with support staff and daycare team without friction
Follow center policies strictly—no exceptions based on mood
Be consistent—children fail when teachers are inconsistent
Required Skills & Traits
Strong classroom control (if you can’t manage 10 kids, this role will expose you fast)
Patience with structure—not passive tolerance
Clear communication with both children and adults
High energy and involvement (this is physically and mentally demanding)
Ownership mindset—no “it’s not my job” attitude
Experience
1–3 years in preschool or early childhood education preferred
Freshers can be considered—but only if they show control, not just enthusiasm
