Factory Manager (Production/Planner Manager)
We are a leading company in the Blinds and Curtains manufacturing Industry, specializing in the design and manufacture of blinds and curtains . Our products include Roman , roller and wood .
Role Purpose:
As the Production Manager, you will lead a team of approximately 30 factory staff, ensuring efficient, high-quality production while maintaining the highest safety standards. Reporting to the Director/General Manager, you will play a key role in optimising production processes, meeting delivery targets, and fostering a positive team culture.
Major Accountabilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the production facility, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate production activities to meet customer demands and deadlines
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of factory staff, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration
- Manage inventory (Warehouse), materials, and resources to minimize waste and ensure production efficiency
- Monitor production metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and productivity
- Understanding and experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing frameworks and mindset
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality control, and procurement, to ensure seamless operations
- Liaise with and report progress of production schedules with stakeholders both internally and externally, inform on production status, potential delays and inventory levels
Role Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field (preferred)
- Must have proven experience as a Production Manager or planner with supervisory /management experience or similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Experience using ERP Systems for material requirements planning, demand and capacity planning, warehouse and stocking
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, Automation industries or similar industries and environments
- Able to understand AutoCAD drawings and demonstrate understanding of engineering drawings
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality assurance
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
