Position: Solar Business Development Engineer
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and generate new business opportunities for rooftop solar projects.
- Develop relationships with residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional customers.
- Conduct customer meetings, site surveys, and technical presentations.
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals and quotations.
- Negotiate contracts and achieve monthly sales targets.
- Build partnerships with builders, architects, electrical contractors, and channel partners.
Technical & Project Management
- Conduct preliminary site surveys and assess project feasibility.
- Coordinate with engineering and installation teams during project execution.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Support customers with subsidy applications, net-metering, and statutory approvals.
- Monitor project progress and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Client Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact from enquiry to project completion.
- Provide exceptional after-sales support.
- Maintain long-term customer relationships and generate repeat business through excellent service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in solar sales, business development, or solar EPC projects.
- Good knowledge of rooftop solar systems and electrical fundamentals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated and target-oriented.
- Willingness to travel across Tamil Nadu.
- Valid driving license is preferred.
