Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance across Mac and Windows-based systems. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot hardware/software issues, install applications, maintain system performance, and ensure seamless IT support for end-users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 1 & 2 support for Mac and Windows OS platforms.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Support end-users with application issues, including MS Office, VPNs, and common software tools.
- Handle user account management in Active Directory and/or Apple Business Manager.
- Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and patch management.
- Maintain asset inventory and ensure hardware/software compliance.
- Document issues and solutions in the ticketing system (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow).
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure smooth onboarding/offboarding of employees.
Required Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of macOS and Windows 10/11.
- Familiarity with Office 365, VPN configuration, remote desktop tools, and antivirus software.
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting (RAM, SSD, display, etc.).
- Understanding of networking concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
