Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections.
- Conduct first-piece approval before production starts.
- Ensure products comply with drawings, specifications, and approved samples.
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and calibration records.
- Handle customer complaints and perform root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and Pareto Analysis.
- Implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
- Monitor production quality and reduce rejection, rework, and scrap.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, Control Plans, and Work Instructions.
- Conduct internal process audits and support external audits.
- Train operators on quality standards and inspection methods.
- Monitor measuring instruments and coordinate calibration activities.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.
- Work closely with Production, Maintenance, and Design departments to improve product quality.
- Ensure implementation of 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Quality Assurance processes.
- Knowledge of the 7 QC Tools.
- Understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.
- Experience with measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and Dial Gauge.
- Basic knowledge of MSA, SPC, PPAP, FMEA, APQP, and Control Plans.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and report preparation.
Qualification
- B.Tech / M.Tech (Mechanical Engineering)
- Experience: 0–3 Years (Freshers may also apply)
