Key Responsibilities
- Perform hydrostatic pressure testing according to approved procedures and drawings.
- Prepare test setup including pumps, gauges, hoses, fixtures, and safety devices.
- Fill components with test fluid and apply specified pressure safely.
- Inspect for leakage, pressure drop, deformation, or defects during testing.
- Record test parameters, observations, and results in inspection reports.
- Ensure calibration validity of pressure gauges and testing instruments.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of hydro test area.
- Coordinate with QA/QC, machining, fabrication, and assembly teams.
- Follow SOPs, safety rules, and customer specifications.
- Identify non-conforming products and report abnormalities.
- Assist in troubleshooting test failures and rework verification.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of hydrostatic testing procedures.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and pressure specifications.
- Familiarity with pressure gauges, pumps, valves, and testing equipment.
- Basic understanding of QA/QC documentation.
- Awareness of industrial safety practices.
- Good observation and reporting skills.
Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 1–5 years experience in hydro testing or machine shop operations preferred.
Preferred Knowledge
- ASME / API / ISO testing standards.
- NDT basics and pressure vessel testing.
- Leak testing and inspection methods.
Working Conditions
