Job Description
Position Overview
The Regional Project Director is responsible for leading and overseeing commercial interior fit-out projects across the assigned region. This role ensures successful project execution, profitability, quality, client satisfaction, and operational excellence while managing project teams and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead and oversee multiple commercial interior fit-out projects across the region.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards.
- Monitor project schedules, costs, risks, and resource allocation.
- Drive timely project completion and handover.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
- Act as the primary escalation point for project-related issues.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Financial Management
- Manage project budgets, profitability, and cash flow.
- Review project cost reports, variations, and commercial claims.
- Ensure effective cost control and maximize project margins.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Site Managers, and regional teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance reviews and support talent development.
Operational Excellence
- Establish and implement project management best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
Business Development Support
- Support the sales and business development teams during project bidding and pre-construction stages.
- Participate in technical reviews, value engineering, and client presentations.
- Identify opportunities for regional growth and strategic partnerships.
Reporting
- Provide regular updates on project status, financial performance, risks, and resource requirements to senior management.
- Prepare monthly regional project performance reports and dashboards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
- MBA or Postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
Experience
- 15–20+ years of experience in commercial interior fit-out and construction projects.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role managing multiple projects across regions.
- Proven experience in office, retail, hospitality, healthcare, or corporate fit-out projects.
- Strong understanding of contracts, project controls, cost management, and stakeholder management.
