About Us:
Verritas Furniture is a leading sofa manufacturing group supplying OEM buyers including Royal Oak, Godrej, and Sleepyhead/Duroflex, with brands spanning Grosch, Covelli, Incasa, Varioform, and Element. We're setting up a new captive manufacturing facility in Bengaluru and are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead shop-floor operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end production planning and scheduling across sofa manufacturing lines (frame, foam/fiber filling, upholstery, tufting, finishing)
- Manage daily production targets, manpower allocation, and shift planning
- Drive quality control across incoming materials, in-process checks, and finished goods
- Coordinate with procurement on raw material availability (timber, PSF, fabric, foam) to avoid line stoppages
- Implement and monitor SOPs for safety across the plant
- Track OEE, wastage, and rework metrics; drive continuous improvement
- Liaise with plant engineering on machinery uptime and maintenance schedules
- Report production MIS and variance analysis to management
Requirements:
- 5+ years in production management, preferably in furniture, upholstery, or mattress manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of sofa/furniture construction (springs, foam grades, frame assembly)
- Experience managing 200+ factory workforce
- Proficiency in Excel/ERP-based production tracking
- Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical/Industrial/Production Engineering preferred
