We are looking for a creatively driven Video Editor who understands luxury beauty storytelling, premium visual language, short-form content, and performance-focused editing.
The ideal candidate should be able to create content that feels elevated, modern, social-first, and conversion-aware — across Instagram reels, ads, product launches, founder-led content, influencer collaborations, and UGC.
Responsibilities
- Edit elevated short-form videos for Instagram Reels, Meta ads, YouTube Shorts, product launches, campaigns, founder-led content, and website/social assets.
- Create premium beauty content with strong pacing, refined transitions, clean typography, and a luxury visual language.
- Edit product-focused videos including texture shots, swatches, application videos, before/after formats, wear tests, shade comparisons, and product benefit explainers.
- Work on influencer collaborations, UGC edits, customer testimonials, founder videos, campaign videos, and brand films.
- Convert raw content into multiple formats: reels, stories, ads, teaser videos, product education videos, launch countdowns, and performance creatives.
- Add motion graphics, captions, subtitles, typography, animation, product callouts, and trend-led editing elements while maintaining brand elegance.
- Understand hooks, retention, scroll-stopping openings, and platform-first editing for Instagram and Meta ads.
- Repurpose long-form content into short, sharp, engaging clips.
- Work closely with the founder/marketing team to bring product stories, shade education, brand philosophy, and campaign ideas to life.
- Leverage AI-powered tools to speed up workflows, enhance visuals, create references, support ideation, generate backgrounds, and improve content production.
- Stay updated on beauty, fashion, skincare, luxury, UGC, creator, and social media video trends.
- Maintain organised video files, raw footage, edited versions, templates, subtitles, music references, and brand assets.
Requirements
- Strong command over Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, VN, DaVinci Resolve, or similar fast-paced editing applications.
- Sharp eye for beauty aesthetics, luxury pacing, visual storytelling, product details, and social-first content.
- Strong understanding of Instagram Reels, stories, short-form video trends, UGC formats, creator-style content, and ad creatives.
- Ability to edit both polished brand films and raw, relatable, high-converting UGC-style videos.
- Experience working with beauty, fashion, skincare, wellness, lifestyle, luxury, or D2C brands preferred.
- Good understanding of typography, captions, motion graphics, transitions, sound design, colour correction, and visual rhythm.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted editing workflows and tools such as Runway, Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT, Canva AI, CapCut AI, or similar tools.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, founder-led beauty brand environment.
- Beauty enthusiast with a strong eye for trends, textures, colours, product application, skin/lip close-ups, and premium aesthetics.
- Strong portfolio showcasing reels, ads, UGC edits, product videos, launch videos, or campaign content.
- Basic knowledge of 3D editing using Blender, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, or similar software is a plus.
Added Advantage
- Experience editing performance marketing creatives for Meta and Google ads.
- Ability to create multiple versions of the same video for A/B testing.
- Understanding of hooks, retention, watch time, CTA placement, and conversion-led editing.
- Experience with beauty product close-ups, texture videos, shade swatches, lip/skin application videos, and founder-led storytelling.
- Ability to create premium-looking content even from simple phone-shot footage.
- Basic shooting knowledge is a strong plus — lighting, framing, phone camera setup, product angles, and audio.
- Ability to work with influencer/UGC content and make it feel on-brand without over-polishing it.
