Job Title: Senior Medical Editor (VRE/DMT) - Freelance/Contract
Role Overview
We are looking to work with Senior Medical Editors with strong experience in Voice Recognition Editing (VRE) and Direct upload - Medical Transcription (DMT).
The role requires handling high-volume, fast-paced editing and transcription work with excellent accuracy, along with the ability to manage difficult audio and complex medical reports.
Key Responsibilities
1) Editing & Transcription Work
- Edit AI-generated transcripts (VRE) with high accuracy
- Perform Direct Medical Transcription (DMT) when required
- Ensure correct:
- Medical terminology
- Drug names and dosages
- Formatting and structure
2) Handling Complex Audio
- Work on:
- Fast speakers
- Heavy accents
- Poor audio quality
- Deliver accurate output despite challenges
3) Productivity & TAT
- Maintain high line count per day
- Meet strict turnaround time (TAT) deadlines
- Handle bulk workload without compromising quality
4) Quality Assurance
- Maintain high accuracy (near 99% expected)
- Identify and correct subtle medical errors
- Follow client-specific templates and guidelines
5) File & Data Handling
- Work on files from multiple clients
- Follow proper file naming and folder structure
- Ensure no data mix-up or loss
6) Team Support (Senior Role Expectation)
- Help junior editors/transcriptionists when needed
- Share feedback and improve team quality
- Assist manager in handling workload during peak times
Work Timing & Availability
- Must be comfortable working during day time. Deadline to submit files will be 4:00 PM
- Should be available for urgent work when required
- Follow US holiday schedule as per client requirements
Mandatory Requirements (Very Important)
- Strong experience in:
- VRE (Voice Recognition Editing)
- DMT (Direct Medical Transcription)
- Excellent knowledge of:
- Medical terminology
- Drug names and dosages
- Proven ability to handle difficult audio and fast dictations

How much you can earn! (India)
₹20,000 – ₹60,000/month

Final Note
This is a performance-driven role. Candidates must be capable of delivering high accuracy with speed consistently.
