Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Furniture Designer / AutoCAD Designer to prepare detailed furniture drawings and production drawings for manufacturing. The candidate will work closely with the design, production, and project teams to ensure drawings are accurate and suitable for manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for furniture and interior products.
- Prepare production/shop drawings for furniture manufacturing.
- Develop drawings for wardrobes, tables, cabinets, workstations, storage units, reception counters, partitions, and other customized furniture.
- Prepare detailed dimensions, sections, elevations, and material specifications.
- Convert design concepts into manufacturing-ready drawings.
- Coordinate with the production team to understand manufacturing requirements and feasibility.
- Make revisions based on production requirements and site measurements.
- Ensure accuracy of dimensions, materials, hardware, and detailing in drawings.
- Coordinate with vendors, production supervisors, and project teams when required.
- Maintain proper documentation and drawing records.
- Visit the production/factory area when required to verify drawings and manufacturing requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
- Good understanding of furniture construction and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of materials such as plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, glass, hardware, etc.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Good knowledge of dimensions, measurements, sections, and detailing.
- Knowledge of furniture hardware and fittings will be an advantage.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work within deadlines and handle multiple drawings/projects.
Qualification
- Diploma / Degree in Interior Design, Furniture Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Candidates with relevant furniture manufacturing experience will be preferred.
Preferred Experience
Experience in modular furniture, customized furniture, commercial furniture, office furniture, or interior fit-out manufacturing will be an added advantage.
Work Location
Hoskote, Bangalore – Work from Factory/Office
Note: Candidates should be comfortable working from the Hoskote location.
Pay: ₹9,353.53 - ₹46,420.12 per month
