We are seeking a motivated and technically sound Design Engineer specialising in Firefighting Systems to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for designing fire protection systems and supporting project execution in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design firefighting systems including sprinkler systems, hydrant networks, fire pump rooms, fire detection & alarm systems, and suppression systems.
- Perform basic hydraulic calculations and system sizing as per NBC and relevant IS standards.
- Prepare detailed drawings (GA, schematic, layout) using CAD software.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and material take-offs.
- Conduct site visits across India to assess site conditions and collect project data.
- Coordinate with project engineers and site teams to ensure design compliance and technical clarity.
- Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning stages.
- Assist in preparation of quotations and technical submissions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in firefighting system design (freshers with strong fundamentals may also be considered).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Understanding of NBC, relevant IS standards, and basic NFPA guidelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel for site visits and project requirements.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience in hydraulic calculations.
- Exposure to commercial/industrial projects.
- Basic knowledge of testing and commissioning procedures.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
