Position Summary
The Assistant Production Manager supports the Senior Production Manager in planning, coordinating, and supervising daily production activities within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures production targets are achieved efficiently while maintaining product quality, food safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The Assistant Production Manager also plays a key role in leading production teams, monitoring plant performance, and driving continuous process improvements.
Responsibilities
· Assign operators and technicians to specific workstations, and manage shift handovers smoothly.
· Acts as the primary delegate when the Production Supervisor is absent, taking full responsibility for shift performance, safety, and handovers.
· Supporting shift leadership and keeping lines running efficiently
· Maintaining quality, and enforcing safety.
· Supervising floor staff (operators, material handlers) and partnering with maintenance/quality teams.
· Allocate manpower across production units lead pre-shift huddles and ensure thorough shift-to-shift handoffs regarding output metrics, pending maintenance, and open issues.
· Assist the primary supervisor in logging attendance, managing shift clock-ins/outs, and tracking labor efficiency.
· Partner with warehouse material handlers to ensure preforms, caps, packaging film, labels, and boxes are staged ahead of runs.
· Monitor raw material scrap rates, waste levels, and rework materials, logging data to minimize product loss.
Qualification
* Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, or related field.
*Additional certifications in Production Management or Operations Management are preferred.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
