Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Closure System Engineer responsible for the design, development, validation, and release of automotive closure components and systems. The role involves cross-functional coordination with design, vehicle integration, suppliers, manufacturing, validation, and program teams to ensure product quality, performance, timing, regulatory compliance, and cost targets are achieved.
The candidate should possess strong expertise in closure systems development, feasibility studies, supplier coordination, engineering change management, and production release activities in a PLM-driven automotive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering development activities for closure systems and components across vehicle programs.

Ensure closure component/system development aligns with quality, cost, weight, timing, and performance objectives.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders for collaborative engineering activities.

Ensure compliance with homologation, regulatory, and internal engineering standards.

Support design release, engineering documentation, validation planning, and technical sign-offs.

Execute robust and cost-effective engineering solutions ensuring successful program launches.

Drive standardization, benchmarking, lessons learned, harmonization, and best practice implementation.

Support supplier development activities, technical reviews, capability assessments, and issue resolution.

Coordinate with design studio and vehicle integration teams for milestone achievement and packaging feasibility.

Lead root-cause analysis and support corrective actions during development and build phases.

Support product diversity definition and value optimization activities.

Develop and maintain source packages, technical documentation, and engineering deliverables.

Support development of technical roadmaps, training materials, and engineering policies.

Ensure adherence to internal control systems, engineering processes, and PLM workflows.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Automobile / Production Engineering or related discipline
Essential skills:
- Strong experience in automotive Closure Systems development.

Proficiency in UG NX and/or CATIA.
