Role Purpose
As an M365 & Compliance Specialist, you will take ownership of the security, governance, and optimisation of Cintra’s global Microsoft 365 environment.
Operating within a Zero Trust framework, you’ll play a key role in protecting identity and data assets—including email, documents, and collaboration platforms—while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
As part of a small, agile team, you’ll also act as a technical escalation point and mentor, supporting junior team members and contributing to the continuous improvement of IT operations
Key Responsibilities
Identity & Access Governance (IAM):
Design and implement secure Entra ID policies, with a strong focus on enforcing MFA and developing advanced Conditional Access strategies
Endpoint & Application Management:
Act as the primary administrator for Microsoft Intune, managing device compliance and the full application lifecycle (deployment, patching, and retirement)
Productivity & Collaboration Ecosystem:
Lead administration of SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and Teams, including the design and delivery of the global company intranet
️ Information Protection & Purview:
Implement and manage Microsoft Purview capabilities, including sensitivity labelling and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies to safeguard critical data
Security Operations:
Monitor and respond to identity-based risks using Microsoft 365 Defender and Entra ID Protection, continuously strengthening the security posture
Technical Escalation & Team Support:
Act as an escalation point for junior IT support staff, providing guidance on complex technical issues within a collaborative team environment
Data Protection & Continuity:
Manage M365 retention policies and oversee cloud-to-cloud backup solutions to ensure resilience and recovery readiness
Audit & Governance Support:
Provide technical documentation, log analysis, and evidence for audits, while conducting regular account and licence reviews to maintain compliance and efficiency
Required Technical Skillset
Core Identity:
Expert-level knowledge of Entra ID, including P1/P2 features such as Identity Protection and Conditional Access
Endpoint Management:
Advanced hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune for device compliance and application management
Collaboration Stack:
Deep expertise in SharePoint Online (including site architecture and intranet design) and Exchange Online
️ Compliance & Security:
Strong understanding of Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365 Defender, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and sensitivity labelling
Mentorship & Leadership:
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and support/mentor junior engineers
