WE’RE HIRING – EXECUTIVE / SR. EXECUTIVE – CONSUMABLE PROCUREMENT
Location: Hosur
Experience: 3 – 8 Years
Qualification: o Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering consumables (preferably in automotive / manufacturing industry).
Key Requirements:
* Ensure 100% availability of critical consumables (no production stoppage).
* Achieve cost savings through effective negotiation and vendor development.
* Maintain inventory within defined norms (avoid excess & obsolete stock).
* Improve supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance.
* Zero quality issues due to consumable procurement.
* Compliance with procurement processes and audit requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
* Identify, evaluate, and develop vendors for consumable items (cutting tools, oils, PPE, welding consumables, etc.).
* Ensure timely procurement of consumables as per production and maintenance requirements.
* Prepare and process purchase orders in line with company policies.
* Monitor stock levels and coordinate with stores to avoid shortages or overstocking.
* Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
* Ensure quality compliance of procured consumables through coordination with QA.
* Track supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery) and implement improvements.
* Maintain procurement records, documentation, and MIS reports.
* Ensure adherence to budget and cost control initiatives.
* Support audits by maintaining proper documentation and compliance
Authorities
o Authority to select vendors, negotiate pricing, and place purchase orders for consumables within approved limits to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
Specific Skills required for this role:
* Hands-on experience in consumable procurement in manufacturing setup.
* Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management practices.
* Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle or similar).
* Understanding of industrial consumables (tools, lubricants, safety items, etc.).
* Knowledge of TPM, 5S, and ISO/IATF standards.
* Strong analytical and costing skills.
