Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Ionic/Cordova Mobile Developer to work on an existing enterprise mobile application built with Ionic 6, Angular 14, and Cordova.
The primary focus of this role will be to upgrade the Android Target SDK from 35 to 36, implement multi-language support, and ensure the application remains stable and production-ready across Android and iOS.
Key ResponsibilitiesAndroid Target SDK 36 Upgrade
- Upgrade the application from Android Target SDK 35 to SDK 36.
- Update Android build configuration, Gradle settings, and project dependencies as required.
- Identify and resolve Android compatibility issues introduced by the SDK upgrade.
- Review and validate Cordova plugin compatibility.
- Troubleshoot Android build and runtime issues.
- Perform regression testing across supported devices and OS versions.
- Generate and validate production-ready Android builds.
Multi-Language Support
- Implement multilingual support using ngx-translate.
- Replace hardcoded UI text with translation keys.
- Integrate translation files for:
- English
- Swedish
- Norwegian
- Finnish
- German
- Implement language selection and persistence.
- Localize date, time, and number formats where applicable.
- Review and adjust UI layouts to accommodate translated content.
- Perform multilingual testing across Android and iOS.
Required Technical Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on Ionic Framework experience.
- Strong experience with Angular 12+, preferably Angular 14.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cordova and Cordova plugin integration.
- Proficiency in:
- TypeScript
- JavaScript
- HTML
- SCSS/CSS
- Experience upgrading Android Target SDK versions and resolving compatibility issues.
- Good understanding of:
- Android build configuration
- Gradle
- AndroidX
- Android SDK
- Hands-on experience implementing multilingual applications using ngx-translate.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience integrating and consuming REST APIs.
- Experience using Git for source control.

- Experience developing and maintaining enterprise mobile applications.
- Hands-on experience with Android Studio.
- Knowledge of Google Play Store submission and release requirements.
- Experience testing mobile applications on both Android and iOS devices.
- Experience troubleshooting Cordova plugins during Android SDK upgrades.
