Job Summary
BuildMyInfra is looking for a dynamic and technically competent Project Engineer – Electrical to manage and execute electrical works for industrial, commercial, infrastructure, warehousing, institutional, and government projects. The role involves end-to-end site execution, quality assurance, safety compliance, client coordination, vendor management, and timely project delivery while maintaining the highest engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Execution
- Execute and supervise all electrical installation works as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule.
- Monitor progress of HT/LT electrical works, power distribution, lighting systems, earthing, lightning protection, DG systems, and associated infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with project timelines, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate with civil, MEP, HVAC, fire fighting, and other project teams for smooth execution.
2. Planning & Coordination
- Review IFC drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and approved shop drawings.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly work plans.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, and vendors for execution activities.
- Resolve technical and site-related issues promptly.
3. Quality Assurance
- Ensure execution as per IS Codes, NBC, CPWD specifications, IEC standards, and project quality requirements.
- Conduct inspections, quality checks, and stage-wise approvals.
- Verify materials before installation.
- Ensure approved makes and specifications are followed.
4. Testing & Commissioning
- Supervise testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Coordinate with OEMs and consultants during inspections.
- Prepare testing reports and commissioning documents.
- Support final handover and defect liability period activities.
5. Material & Vendor Management
- Prepare material requisitions based on project requirements.
- Monitor inventory and ensure timely availability of materials.
- Verify vendor deliveries and material quality.
- Coordinate with procurement for timely supply.
6. Billing & Documentation
- Prepare measurement sheets and work quantity records.
- Verify subcontractor bills.
- Maintain Daily Progress Reports (DPR), site registers, RFIs, inspection requests, and project documentation.
- Update as-built drawings and project records.
7. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with EHS policies and statutory regulations.
- Implement electrical safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions.
- Ensure zero unsafe electrical practices at site.
8. Client & Stakeholder Management
- Attend client, consultant, and coordination meetings.
- Resolve technical queries and site observations.
- Maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders.
- Ensure timely closure of punch points.
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering may be considered for experienced candidates.
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in electrical project execution.
- Experience in industrial, commercial, infrastructure, warehousing, hospitals, educational institutions, manufacturing plants, and government projects preferred.

- Experience in EPC, Design & Build, Turnkey Electrical, MEP, Industrial, Commercial, Infrastructure, Data Centre, Warehouse, Government, and Institutional Projects.
- Ability to handle multiple project stakeholders and fast-paced execution environments.
- Strong understanding of quality, safety, and contractual requirements.
