Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Manager to manage the complete HR function of our school. The ideal candidate should have prior HR experience in a school or educational institution and a strong understanding of school staff requirements, employee relations, recruitment, attendance, payroll coordination, compliance, and HR policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete HR operations for teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Handle recruitment, screening, interviews, selection, and onboarding of school employees.
- Coordinate recruitment of teachers, coordinators, administrative staff, support staff, and other school personnel.
- Maintain employee records, attendance, leave, and HR documentation.
- Support payroll processing and ensure accurate employee information.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace issues professionally.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in accordance with school requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Conduct employee performance appraisal and support performance-management processes.
- Manage staff orientation, induction, training, and development programs.
- Coordinate exit formalities, full-and-final processes, and employee documentation.
- Work closely with the Principal, School Management, and department heads on HR-related matters.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and school information.
- Promote a positive, professional, and employee-friendly work environment.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA/PGDM in HR is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2–3 years of experience in a school or educational institution.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment and HR operations in a school environment.
- Experience managing both teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Good knowledge of labour laws, statutory compliance, and HR best practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR management systems.
Preferred Candidate
Candidates with proven HR Manager/HR Generalist experience in schools, CBSE/ICSE/international schools, or other educational institutions will be preferred.
