Sales Officer – Modern Trade (MT)

Job Summary :
We are hiring a Sales Officer – Modern Trade (MT) for a leading FMCG brand. The role involves driving sales growth across assigned modern trade accounts, ensuring strong in-store execution, maintaining customer relationships, and achieving business targets.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing modern trade accounts and working with leading retail chains.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sales operations across assigned Modern Trade accounts and territories
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Ensure product availability, visibility, merchandising, and placement across stores
- Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers, buyers, category managers, and merchandising teams
- Execute promotions, in-store activations, displays, and new product launches
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment with distributors and supply chain teams
- Track sales performance, stock movement, and market trends
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure compliance with merchandising and branding standards
- Coordinate with internal teams to improve consumer engagement and brand visibility
- Submit timely sales reports, market feedback, and MIS updates
- Monitor competitor activities and provide market insights
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
- 3–4 years of experience in FMCG Modern Trade sales
- Strong understanding of modern trade operations and retail execution
- Experience handling major MT retail chains is preferred
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Good analytical and reporting skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Self-motivated and target-oriented approach
Additional Requirements
- Must possess a two-wheeler and a valid driving license
- Proficiency in English and the local language is required
Preferred Skills
- Experience in key account handling
- Knowledge of merchandising and promotional planning
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
