About Us
Gantare Digital LLP is a digital agency based in India, and we work under the brand name Candid Digital. We build and manage WordPress and WooCommerce websites for ecommerce and local service brands, and we also handle their search engine optimisation and content. Our team works remotely and we keep a written process document for every job we do.
About the Role
We need a WordPress developer who writes code and does not only install plugins. You will build new client websites, maintain the live ones, set up WooCommerce stores, migrate and speed up sites, and fix things when they break.
You will follow our written processes, update your tasks in Notion every day, and report to the Technical Coordinator.
What You Will Do
- You will build WordPress websites from a supplied design using Elementor and child themes, and make sure they work on every screen size.
- You will build page sections with Advanced Custom Fields, including repeaters, flexible content, galleries and options pages.
- You will create custom post types, taxonomies and templates for listing, location and product pages.
- You will set up WooCommerce stores, covering products, variations, tax, shipping, payment gateways and order emails.
- You will install WordPress on domains and subdomains, build staging sites, and move websites between hosts.
- You will handle Cloudflare, domain records, security certificates, redirects and broken page fixes, and test every form before handover.
- You will improve page speed using caching tools such as Redis, LiteSpeed or WP Rocket, and by cleaning up images and scripts.
- You will add tracking tools such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel, set up a search engine optimisation plugin, and fix errors in code, blank pages and plugin conflicts.
What You Need
- At least 2 years of full time WordPress development experience. Agency experience is preferred.
- Strong skills in Advanced Custom Fields, including repeaters, flexible content, galleries and options pages.
- You can write PHP, and you know MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.
- You are comfortable with custom post types, taxonomies, WordPress queries, hooks and child themes.
- You can work in Elementor at a professional level.
- You can set up WooCommerce and solve problems in it.
- You have used caching tools such as Redis, LiteSpeed or WP Rocket.
- You can work in cPanel and phpMyAdmin, handle memory and upload limits, run migrations and backups, and manage Cloudflare, domain records and security certificates.
- You try to solve a problem on your own first, and you can explain what you already tried.
Good to Have
- Experience with Shopify.
- Experience with Git.
- Some Python or Node for small scripts.
- Experience building custom plugins.
Work Setup
- The pay is ₹20,000 per month.
- The role is fully work from home, from anywhere in India.
- Working hours are Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST, with the 2nd and 4th Saturday off.
