Job Description:
Vayam Designers is a Hyderabad-based creative studio operating across six divisions including Studios (photo and film production), Visuals (motion design and architectural visualization), and Growth (social media and performance marketing).
We are hiring a Video Editor to handle post-production across our Studios and Growth divisions. You will work on the full spectrum: brand films, real estate walkthroughs, event films, and social media content including reels, shorts, and longer-form video.
This role requires editing skill combined with creative judgment. We need someone who can shape a story, cut a punchy 30-second reel, color grade with intent, and deliver film-quality output that matches the Vayam aesthetic across formats.
What You Will Do:
Long-form and Brand Work (Studios division)
- Edit brand films, real estate walkthroughs, event films, and brand documentaries
- Color grade footage to match each project's mood and brand system
- Work closely with our in-house photographer and videographer on shoot-to-edit workflow
- Add motion graphics, lower thirds, and basic VFX as projects require
Social Media Video (Growth division)
- Cut reels, shorts, and Instagram-format videos for client social media accounts
- Edit vertical content (9:16) optimized for Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and similar platforms
- Add captions, transitions, sound design, and trending audio where appropriate
- Coordinate with the Social Media Manager on content calendar deliverables
- Turn long-form Studios footage into multiple short-form cutdowns for client social channels
Workflow and Delivery
- Manage raw footage, project files, and deliverables across multiple parallel projects
- Maintain a clean post-production workflow with versioning and client approval cycles
- Meet weekly social media delivery cadence alongside larger Studios projects
Must-haves:
- 1 to 3 years of professional video editing experience across both long-form and social media formats
- Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
- Proven color grading ability (show graded vs ungraded examples in portfolio)
- Sample reel showing both narrative editing AND short-form social cuts
- Working knowledge of After Effects for motion graphics and basic VFX
- Ability to manage large file sizes, project organization, and backups
- Based in Hyderabad or willing to relocate immediately
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience editing brand films or wedding films at premium quality
- Sound design or basic audio mixing skills
- Worked on real estate walkthroughs or architectural films
- Familiarity with shooting workflows
- Understanding of social media platform algorithms and what drives engagement on reels

Compensation structured as consolidated monthly stipend during probation. Confirmation salary reviewed at end of month 3 based on performance criteria shared in the offer letter. Editing workstation and software provided.
