Job Description: Project ManagerRole Overview
As a Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of complex data and analytics implementation projects for leading global retailers. You will own project planning, execution, stakeholder alignment, timelines, budgets, and delivery outcomes while ensuring customers receive a seamless and successful implementation experience.
You will act as the central point of coordination across teams — driving alignment, removing obstacles, maintaining momentum, and ensuring projects are delivered with clarity, structure, and purpose. Key ResponsibilitiesLead End-to-End Project Delivery
- Manage complex software and data implementation projects from initiation through go-live and stabilization.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
- Drive clarity across project phases, ensuring teams understand priorities, timelines, and expected outcomes.
Develop & Manage Project Plans
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, resource plans, and dependency tracking.
- Manage critical paths and proactively adjust plans to keep projects on track.
- Maintain accurate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer stakeholders.
- Provide executive-level status updates, project insights, risks, and recommendations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels.
- Facilitate effective decision-making through clear communication and structured discussions.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify potential risks and challenges early and drive mitigation plans.
- Establish effective escalation paths and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Communicate risks, dependencies, and project impacts transparently to stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Team Coordination
- Align internal teams, customer teams, partners, and offshore/onshore resources toward common goals.
- Coordinate with Solution Architects, Implementation Consultants, Business Analysts, Data Engineers, and third-party vendors.
- Promote accountability, collaboration, and a positive delivery culture.
Communication & Governance
- Deliver clear communication tailored to technical, operational, and executive audiences.
- Document project decisions, scope changes, action items, and business impacts.
- Facilitate structured and productive meetings to maintain alignment.
Continuous Improvement
- Capture lessons learned and apply insights to improve future project delivery.
- Promote best practices in project governance, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Identify opportunities for additional project phases and value-added initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing complex software, data, or analytics implementation projects.
- Strong project planning, execution, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams across onshore, offshore, and customer environments.
- Ability to manage timelines, budgets, dependencies, risks, and project governance.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build strong customer relationships and confidently manage executive-level interactions.
- Strong understanding of data, analytics, and technology implementation environments.
- Experience with Agile and/or structured project delivery methodologies preferred.
