Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented and creative Video Editor Intern who has a deep understanding of storytelling through video, a strong command of editing tools, and proficiency in Canva. The ideal candidate should be passionate about visual content, have an eye for detail, and be capable of handling all aspects of video production — from ideation to final output.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit raw footage into engaging, high-quality videos for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms.
- Add transitions, music, sound effects, voice-overs, animations, and subtitles as needed.
- Collaborate with the marketing and content team to conceptualize and produce promotional videos, reels, testimonials, corporate videos, explainer videos, and more.
- Create static and animated designs using Canva for social media and other marketing purposes.
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running of the final output.
- Understand and apply color correction, audio editing, and motion graphics where required.
- Manage and organize media assets, maintaining a proper workflow.
- Optimize videos for different formats, resolutions, and platforms.
- Stay updated with the latest video trends, editing techniques, and platform requirements.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience as a Video Editor Intern with a strong portfolio.
- Proficiency in software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
- Working knowledge of Canva for quick design tasks and content formatting.
- Ability to create both long-form and short-form video content.
- Strong sense of visual composition, pacing, and storytelling.
- Understanding of color grading, motion graphics, and video compression.
- Familiarity with social media formats, aspect ratios, and video algorithms.
- Basic understanding of script writing and storyboarding.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in digital marketing or advertising agencies is a plus.
- Photography or sound editing knowledge is an advantage.
