Krishna The Silk Store is a well-established traditional and ethnic wear store specializing in silk sarees, bridal collections, wedding wear, traditional clothing, and festive collections. We are looking for a responsible and customer-friendly Cashier to join our team and support our day-to-day store operations.
Job Summary
The Cashier will be responsible for handling customer billing and payments accurately, providing excellent customer service, maintaining cash records, and supporting smooth checkout operations.
Key Responsibilities
● Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
● Process customer purchases accurately using the billing/POS system.
● Handle cash, credit/debit cards, UPI, and other payment methods.
● Issue bills and receipts to customers.
● Handle refunds, exchanges, and change accurately according to company policies.
● Maintain accurate cash and transaction records.
● Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
● Assist customers with basic billing and payment-related queries.
● Coordinate with the sales team when required.
● Maintain a clean and organized billing/checkout area.
● Assist with basic stock arrangement and other store activities when required.
● Follow company policies, security procedures, and billing guidelines.
Requirements
● Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred.
● Freshers with good communication and basic computer knowledge may also apply.
● Basic knowledge of billing/POS systems is an advantage.
● Good communication and customer service skills.
● Basic calculation and cash-handling skills.
● Must be responsible, punctual, and attentive to detail.
● Ability to work as part of a team in a retail environment.
● Tamil communication is required; basic English knowledge is an advantage.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
