Job Summary
A Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in the kitchen and food service areas. They support chefs and kitchen staff by washing dishes, cleaning equipment, handling waste disposal, and ensuring sanitation standards are followed.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, storage, and dining areas.
- Ensure proper sanitation and hygiene standards are followed.
- Dispose of garbage and kitchen waste safely.
- Assist in cleaning refrigerators, ovens, floors, and workstations.
- Support kitchen staff during busy operations.
- Refill cleaning supplies and report shortages.
- Store cleaned items properly in designated areas.
- Follow hotel or restaurant safety procedures.
- Assist with basic food preparation if required.
Requirements
- High school education preferred.
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant operations is an advantage.
- Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for long hours and lift kitchen items.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety practices.
- Teamwork and positive attitude.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
