Experience Required
Minimum 1–3 years of hands-on experience in news video editing is mandatory.
HCN News is looking for an experienced News Video Editor who understands the fast-paced nature of digital journalism. If you have previously edited news videos, political content, YouTube news, breaking news, debates, explainers, or current affairs videos, we would love to hear from you.
This role is not suitable for freshers. We are looking for candidates who can independently handle news editing with speed, accuracy, and creativity.
Software Requirements
Adobe Premiere Pro (Mandatory)
Final Cut Pro (Optional)
Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects will be an added advantage
Key Responsibilities
Edit daily news videos, breaking news, YouTube content, Shorts, Reels, and social media videos.
Create engaging, fast-paced edits with strong storytelling and audience retention.
Add captions, graphics, transitions, sound effects, and background music where required.
Ensure quick turnaround while maintaining high editorial and visual quality.
Follow HCN News branding, editorial guidelines, and publishing standards.
Coordinate with reporters, producers, and the content team for timely news delivery.
Required Skills
Proven experience editing news and current affairs videos.
Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro.
Excellent understanding of pacing, storytelling, and audience retention.
Knowledge of audio syncing, colour correction, and motion graphics basics.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple daily assignments.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in news content.

20,000 – 35,000 per month
