2. GENERAL JOB SUMMARY
The Business Analyst, Professional Services is responsible for forecasting analytics, utilization reporting, compensation data modeling, and operational data governance across the Professional Services organization.
This role partners closely with PS leadership, FP&A, Finance, HR/Comp, and BI teams to ensure accurate, timely, and decision-ready insights for weekly, monthly, and quarterly operating rhythms.
In addition, this role provides administrative and operational support to PS leadership, helping drive execution, coordination, and follow-through on key initiatives and leadership priorities.
3. SCOPE
This role has broad analytical and operational scope across the Professional Services organization, supporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly operating rhythms through accurate forecasting, utilization reporting, and executive-ready performance insights across regions and product lines. The position owns the day-to-day integrity of keyservices datasets by reconciling information across BI reporting, Certinia/PSA, HR, Finance, and Excel-based sources; identifying drivers of variance; and coordinating timely resolution of data quality issues.
The role also supports Professional Services compensation and incentive cycles by building and maintaining bonus models, integrating and validating multiple data inputs, and documenting assumptions, exceptions, and adjustments for leadership and Finance review. Success requires close partnership with PS leadership, FP&A, Finance, HR/Comp, and BI teams to ensure timely, decision-ready insights, reduce manual reporting effort through process and reporting improvements, and enable consistent execution and follow-through on leadership priorities
4. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
Forecasting & Utilization Analytics

Prepare and maintain weekly and quarterly services forecasting models across regions and product lines

Extract, validate, and reconcile hours, utilization, backlog, and pipeline data from BI, Certinia/PSA, and Excel-based tools

Identify and resolve data discrepancies related to census timing, approvals, and system refreshes
Compensation & Bonus Modeling

Build and maintain Professional Services bonus and incentive models
-
Integrate HR, timesheet, audit, survey, and non-UDP data sources into compensation calculations
-
Perform pre-audit and post-audit validation of billable and non-billable hours
-
Support leadership and Finance reviews by clearly documenting assumptions, exceptions, and adjustments
Business Intelligence & Reporting

Maintain and enhance Power BI and Excel reporting assets supporting PS performance, utilization, and revenue

Support leaders with interpretation of reports, filters, rollups, and attribution logic

Partner with BI teams to improve automation and reduce manual reporting effort
Data Governance & Quality

Own data hygiene across PS reporting, including resource mappings, product line alignment, and SKU attribution

Proactively flag data quality risks and recommend corrective actions

Coordinate cross-functional resolution with FP&A, HR/Comp, Finance, and PS Ops
Stakeholder Partnership

Act as a trusted analytics partner to PS leadership during forecast, governance, and compensation cycles

Support recurring executive and leadership forums with accurate, validated data and rapid follow-ups
Administrative & Operational Support (Leadership Enablement)

Provide direct administrative and operational support to PS leadership

Prepare executive-ready materials for QBRs, all-hands, and leadership reviews (slides, summaries, dashboards)

Track key action items, decisions, and follow-ups from leadership meetings to ensure execution and accountability

Coordinate cross-functional inputs for strategic initiatives, reporting cycles, and deadlines

Support prioritization and organization of leadership requests, helping streamline workflows and reduce ad hoc effort

Assist in maintaining operating rhythms (weekly forecasts, monthly reviews, quarterly planning) through coordination and follow-through

Work Experience
Typically requires 3+ years of experience in business analysis, financial/operational analytics, or business operations roles, preferably in a Professional Services, SaaS, or enterprise software environment. Demonstrated experience building and maintaining forecasting and utilization models; reconciling data across multiple systems (e.g., PSA/ERP, BI platforms, HR data sources, and Excel-based tools); and producing executive-ready reporting and insights to support weekly, monthly, and quarterly operating rhythms.
Experience supporting compensation and incentive calculations (including data validation, audit preparation, and documentation of assumptions/exceptions) is strongly preferred. Proven ability to improve data quality and governance through root-cause analysis and cross-functional coordination with Finance, FP&A, HR/Comp, and BI teams; communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders; and manage competing priorities while providing dependable follow-through for leadership requests.
