We are looking to onboard a committed and knowledgeable IBDP Spanish Tutor who can deliver engaging, syllabus-aligned lessons and support students in achieving strong outcomes in Internal Assessments and final examinations.
Role Overview
The IBDP Spanish Tutor will be responsible for teaching Spanish at Standard Level and/or Higher Level, focusing on language skills (listening, reading, writing, and speaking), cultural understanding, exam techniques, and Internal Assessment preparation.
This is a remote, freelance position with flexible working hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach IBDP Spanish SL and/or HL students in one-to-one or small group online classes
- Plan structured lessons aligned with the IB syllabus and assessment criteria
- Develop students’ speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills
- Guide students with Internal Assessment (IA) planning, drafts, and feedback (within IB academic honesty guidelines)
- Prepare students for Paper 1, Paper 2, and oral assessments
- Assign and review homework, worksheets, and practice questions
- Track student progress and provide regular academic feedback to parents and the academy
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and clear communication
Eligibility Criteria
- Strong academic background in Spanish
- Experience teaching IBDP Spanish (SL and/or HL) is mandatory
- Familiarity with IB assessment objectives, marking criteria, and exam patterns
- Excellent spoken and written Spanish and English
- Prior online teaching experience preferred
- Ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt teaching to different student levels
- Reliable internet connection and comfort with online teaching tools
Preferred Qualifications
- IB teaching certification or prior IB school teaching experience
- Experience handling IA guidance and oral exam preparation
- Experience teaching international students
Working Structure and Compensation
- Freelance, part-time role
- Pay on an hourly basis (rates discussed during interview, based on experience and level taught)
