We are seeking aa highly organised and detail oriented Surgery Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and preparing surgical cases by maintaining accurate records within the hospital's Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. You will work closely with surgeons, clinic staff, and hospital personnel to ensure all surgical bookings, documentation, and schedules are complete, accurate, and compliant with confidentiality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, update, and maintain surgical booking records in the hospital EMR system.
- Upload and verify pre-operative documentation, physician orders, consent forms, and supporting medical records.
- Ensure operating room schedules accurately match patient information and surgical details in the EMR.
- Review and verify transferred patient information for completeness and accuracy before finalizing bookings.
- Monitor and update surgical bookings as required.
- Identify discrepancies or missing documentation and coordinate with clinic staff and hospital personnel to resolve them promptly.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and comply with all applicable privacy regulations and organizational policies.
- Coordinate post-operative appointments for surgical patients as workload permits.
- Perform additional administrative duties related to surgical coordination as assigned.
Required Candidate Profile:
- Minimu*m 2 years of experience* in medical administration.
- Experience working with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn multiple healthcare software platforms.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information professionally.
Preferred:
- Experience in ophthalmology or surgical booking.
- Experience coordinating physician schedules or operating room bookings.
- Shift Timings: 5:30 PM - 2:30 AM (Night Shift) - Monday to Friday
