Manager – Maintenance (Cable Industry)

Reporting To: Sr. Manager / HOD
Industry Preference: Mandatory experience in Cable Manufacturing Industry with exposure to Plant Maintenance, Machine Maintenance, Utility Maintenance, and Breakdown Maintenance.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance activities in coordination with production teams.
- Monitor and report utility consumption including power, water, and compressed air.
- Ensure timely calibration, inspection, and maintenance of equipment and machinery.
- Manage AMC activities, spare parts inventory, vendor coordination, and technical support.
- Handle machine breakdowns, troubleshooting, repairs, and root cause analysis.
- Allocate manpower across shifts and prioritize maintenance activities.
- Monitor utility systems such as boilers, compressors, pumps, and related infrastructure.
- Maintain maintenance records, shift logbooks, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance procedures.
- Support installation, commissioning, modification, and replacement of machinery.
- Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance teams.
- Drive continuous improvement, machine safety enhancements, and cost reduction initiatives.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Experience in gearbox, bearings, pneumatics, lathe, drilling, and shaper machine operations.
- Ability to read schematics and perform advanced troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of utility maintenance and cable manufacturing processes.
- Strong manpower management and communication skills.
- Understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
- Experience working with heavy industrial equipment.
IT Skills
- SAP knowledge preferred.
- MS Office and Basic Excel proficiency.
