Position Summary
Shanti Home Rehabilitation Centre is looking for a dedicated and responsible Resident Medical Officer (RMO) to provide round-the-clock medical support and healthcare supervision for residents undergoing rehabilitation. The RMO will be responsible for managing routine medical care, emergencies, detox monitoring, and coordination with psychiatric and rehabilitation teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties
- Conduct initial medical assessments and routine health check-ups for residents.
- Monitor vital signs, withdrawal symptoms, detox progress, and overall health status.
- Provide first-line treatment for common illnesses and minor medical emergencies.
- Assist in management of psychiatric and addiction-related medical issues under specialist guidance.
- Maintain daily progress notes and medical records.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and arrange referrals/hospital transfers when needed.
Medication & Treatment Management
- Administer and supervise prescribed medications.
- Monitor side effects, adherence, and treatment response.
- Ensure safe storage and dispensing of medicines.
- Coordinate with psychiatrists and consultants regarding treatment plans.
Rehabilitation Support
- Work closely with counselors, nursing staff, psychologists, and support teams.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings regarding resident care.
- Educate residents on hygiene, nutrition, wellness, and preventive healthcare.
Compliance & Administration
- Maintain medical documentation and reports accurately.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and centre protocols.
- Support infection control, hygiene, and safety standards within the facility.
- Assist during audits and inspections.
Qualifications
- BAMS/ BUMS degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical registration/license.
- Freshers or experienced candidates may apply.
- Experience in emergency care, psychiatry, de-addiction, or rehabilitation preferred.

Work Schedule

Pay: ₹20,783.80 - ₹32,465.12 per month
